Back In The Day
once again im glad that you stopped in to pay a visit.....i have to first give thanks to the g.a.o.t.u., for the many blessings given to me. i continue to strive to be the best person that i can be and give you praise every chance i get........
im not a perfect person but i strive to find some type of balance in my life. im trying to right some of the wrongs that i have done in my life. i cannot change what i have done but try and live to learn from those things that i have done good or bad....
ok, lets roll.....the name is evan.....but im also known as Esmoov (dj name. i still spin from time to time) or Shorty (from working at clubs)....im older than some but younger than others :-).....i reside in St.Louis but Chicago is where my heart is......."what ya say about the Southside!!!!!" a brother is working (thanks to the GAOTU) and while its not the best job in the world, a brother is blessed and grateful to have it. im looking forward to going back to school in the fall of 04 (prayers please) its been a minute but a brother IS going to do it!!!

i have re-discovered my love of poetry and writing it. i had stopped writing for a while but started again around 2000 but the pieces were born out of anger. i dont really like THOSE poems that much. fast forward to late 2003 and a brother starts hanging (again)with some of the poets at Legacy Books and Cafe. next thing you know, im writing up a storm. Im no Saul Williams but thats because i learned from Nikki Giovanni (my favorite poet). i might place some of my poems on here...not quite sure yet. but there are some on my Bravejournal.
