Eslo's National Symbols

The Symbol

This is the National Emblem and Symbol of Eslo that represents sovereignty of the Eslonian State.  It is found in the center of the Eslonian National Flag.  The Red represents sacrifice for independence.  The Green represents the commitment by which Eslo was founded to preserve natural rainforests.  The Darker Blue represents the peace that is withheld in the skies above that will forever reign upon Eslo.  And the Lighter Blue found on the bottom of the symbol stands for the water and the basis for the flow of Eslonian Laws and policies that govern.  If you turn the symbol to the right side, you will see that the former upper part has become a small tropical soldier wearing the Eslonian Colors with a white sword across the chest.  The white is understood as pure, therefore representing that no blood was shed.  On the flag, it represents that Eslo was founded on pureness of the people and under their will.

It is not uncommon to see the Symbol displayed in black and white, since the colors where added three months after Eslos national establishment.  However, it was decided that the official flag would have colors, even though documents or other items do not have to be in color.  The symbol will often be surrounded by a name of a government institution or commission.  Example: Department of Defense.
