| OFFICIAL STATEMENT MADE BY HIS ROYAL HIGHNESS JOSE IZZAGUERRA AT THE FORMAL LAUNCH OF THE "ESLONIANS PROTECTING THE ENVIRONMENT PROGRAM 2002" |
| I am happy to announce that approximately over US$1,200.00 were raised by Eslonian citizens everywhere simply for rainforest habitat preservation. Through our support and cooperation with organizations like Care2Care, we were abel to live up to our promise of providing a safe haven for a variety of species of wildlife. We saw our projects expand from the Americas to areas such as Myanmar and Australia, that presented our environmental ideas with new challenges. As King, I am proud to say that we have lived up to those challenges and contributed, in one way or another, in saving 5.2 species from extinction in the past year. Taking into account our recent success, I am honored to inagurate the Eslonians Protecting The Environment Program. This program will expand our cooperation with over 20 international environmental organizations. Through a broader amalgamation of existing programs, we will continue to play our role as responsible human beings. The environment will continue to play an essential part in policy-making within all aspects of my government. The Eslonians Protecting The Environment Program will seek to involve all citizens in volunteer activities that will benefit the earth somehow or another. Broad campaigning on electricity and energy saving will take place. To the best of our ability, we will make it so that every Eslonian plays an even larger role in the house-keeping of our mother Earth.
