CURRENT PROJECTS
DEPARTMENT OF COMMUNICATION
OF THE REPUBLIC OF ESLO
PROJECT NUMBER 18-- The Eslonian Department of Communication recieved a request from the Department of Foreign Affairs to build a web page on the internet for the 2001 Intermicronational World Expo, to be held in The Republic of Molossia.
Currently, officials from the Communications department will try to use Shockwave Flashh software in order to give the Eslonian pavillion an excellent image and presentation.  The project should be finished within the next six months at the lateset.  Other software options are also being discussed.
PROJECT NUMBER 17-- The Eslonian Department of Communication, in celebration with the its treaty between the Department of Foreign Affairs and The Department of Communication, will be designing a web page for the Embassy of Eslo in Babkha.  This page will be built using online software.  We are awaiting some approval from the Embassy in order to determine the location of the site.
PROJECT NUMBER 19-- The Eslonian Department of Communication has been investigating software along with officials from the Department of Culture in order to use for an Intermicronational Soccer tournament.  The software should be compatible with that of other nations.  Once the selection is announced, the Departement of Culture will hand it down to the Eslonian Soccer Federation, a new organism, autonomous from government.  We are likely to use the software during the 2002 olympics.

PROJECT NUMBER 19-- The Eslonian Department of Communication is experimenting with several intranet servers.  There are plans, budget permitting, to launch another intranet for the Eslonian Government.  The current net only allows for minimum transfer of information, and is vulnerable to spying.  A new intranet would be available to more offices of the Eslonian government and be complete with up to the minute legislative information.  For the moment, the upgrade planned on the existing intranet will continue.
The Government of Eslo hopes that their will be enough budget to finance the new intranet, which would reduce the number of letters and faxes that are sent between the government daily.  In addittion, the Royal Executive Power has promised that a new intranet would allow space for political parties to post messages and official views on matter that they consider important.
For the moment, we will stick to the faxes.
