ART JAZZ GALLERY
Cafe, Restaurant Jazz Art was opened just over two years ago by the famous Slovak jazz musician Dodo Sosoka, and his fashion designer girlfriend Iveta Schwarzbacherova. They both had an idea many years ago to create a place where artists like themselves could go out, enjoy good music, and world class cuisine. With the right premises becoming available on the pedestrian zone in the center of Piestany, they set out to create their dream. It is one of only three restaurants in all of Slovakia mentioned in the American Express restaurant guide. It has a very warm and friendly atmosphere, and is a mix of a Viena cafe and a very expensive New York restaurant at a tenth of their prices. The decor is very well done with a combination of antique furniture and modern art. The food at Jazz Art is excellent and very reasonably priced. A dinner for two with a bottle of wine can be had for less than $12. The offer a complete menu with both Slovak Specialities and International Cuisine. Not only can you have great food here, but you also have the chance to hear musicians from around the world.
