The World Eskrido Federation is not means of self-expressions. It is an opportunity for self-understanding, of taking yourself from where you are and going beyond. Eskrido as a martial art is a Filipino sport which needs the help of everyone for its growth and development.

Eskrido means Eskrima – Kali – Arnis  – Garote – Combat Judo – Karate, this discipline is very efficient to Filipino martial artist. Arnis concept is stick fighting, combat judo for knife defense and counter offense, and Karate concept is free hand technique, kicking, punch, elbow, and knee techniques.

It was organized to help develop strict discipline in Sportsmanship, promote sound mind and body and improve skill and stamina. To enhance the moral and social responsibility of the youth thus minimizing or completely eliminating delinquency.

To develop the physical and mental as well as social emotional of an individual.

Guide students in the training of self-defense, physical fitness, self-control, mental discipline which contribute to nonviolence.

Developing the students ability to gain the rare knowledge of knowing how to win without fighting, which will benefit you as well as those around you.

Guide students by imparting in their minds what Eskrido could do as a part of physical education in the moral, physical, and spiritual development of an individual.

Guide students by imparting in their minds that self-defense are not just the training of skilled fighting techniques; there must be discipline training, moral philosophy obedience, a sense of duty and respect.

Developing student’s individual character, mental strength, and respect to others. That self-defense is more than the ability to do what is right rather what is easy or wrong.

PREAMBLE

         It was sometime in the mid of August 1989 was an epoch making year for the World Eskrido Federation by a handful of energetic and sports- minded members, and self-defense enthusiasts at King Khalid Air Base. Sports Complex, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, spearheaded by the Chief Instructor Grandmaster Gerardo B. Alcuizar, Sr. transformed a dream into reality by organizing a self-defense club known as the World Eskrido Federation (WEF). Said Federation concentrate  on Arnis – Kali – Cane – Garote (Stick Fighting) Combat Judo (Knife Defense) including Karate. World Eskrido Federation devoted to the propagation and developing a scientific approach of the ancient Filipino Art of Kali – Arnis, Hand to Hand Combat, Combat Judo, which was then popularly known as the manly art of Self-Defense.

          Not long however, of our daily session many people from all walks of life, coming from different section city, of Khamis Mushayt, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. started to joint in our School of Martial Arts. With members thoroughly screened to be of good moral and social standing.

           To data, counts no less than thirty (30) members mostly Filipino, and with other Nationalities. At present has several branches scattered in Asir Region, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and in the Philippines Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
