Sweet Emotion

    In the Crystal Palace in Crystal Tokyo in the future, Minako sat in her room after being stood up by another date.  She slowly took off her make-up and fancy dress and changed into a comfortable pair of gray fleece pants and a black tank top.  Sighing, she went down to the kitchen and asked the cook for a bowl of ice cream. She took the bowl up to her room and watched television, trying not to get upset.
    After about a half an hour, a knock was heard on her door.
    "Who is it?" she called.
    "Rei." the voice said.
    Minako got up and opened the door.  Rei stood there wearing a pair of red boxer shorts and a white tank top.  She was holding a bag of chips.
    "Hi.  Can I come in?" she asked.
    "Sure.  I'm just watching t.v." the blond answered.
    Rei asked her, "I thought you had a date tonight."
    "The guy stood me up again." she said sadly.
    "Aw, poor thing. C'mon, let's go watch t.v. and you can tell me all about it."
    "Okay."
    So the two senshi sat down on Minako's bed and watched t.v.  Minako told Rei about how she and the guy were supposed to meet at the bar, but he never showed up, after she waited for 2 hours for him.  Rei sympathized with her.
    "Guys are so awful sometimes!  They treat you and I so badly." Rei said.
    "I know.  They make me so mad!  Like, I know I'm not ugly, so what is wrong with me?  Is it because I'm just not good enough for them?" Minako cried.
    "No!  That's not it!  You're good enough for me!" Rei said, then clamped her hands over her mouth.  "I'm sorry, Minako-chan!  I didn't mean-"
    "It's okay, Rei.  Do you mean that...you like me?" Minako inquired.
    "Well, yeah.  I've always loved you.  But you always seemed so into guys I thought you'd never like me like I want you to." Rei said, nervously.
    Minako leaned over and kissed Rei softly.  "I do love you, but I never thought you'd like me as anything more than a friend."
    Rei smiled, then wrapped her arms around Minako's waist and kissed her, and slipped her tongue into the pretty blond's mouth.  Minako's eyes opened sharply, but then closed slowly.  She realized she was in love with Rei.  The two girls stopped kissing and looked into each other's eyes.
    "I never knew, Minako.  Can we be together always?" Rei asked.
    Minako nodded and kissed the violet-haired girl.  "I love you, my Rei."
    "The sweetest emotion is always love.  I love you too, Minako-chan."
