Wonderful family friends who love to please and enjoy life with their people.  Temperment is always first and foremost!!  Type goes with Functionality.  The Fox Terrier must be able to do the job they were bred to!  Always hunting for moles and voles while outside.  And of course the occasional mouse that wanders into the house.
