EAA CHAPTER 108

WEBMASTER'S

PICS!

Not everyone has time to sit around and find aviation related links like me...

Anyone who knows me gets that joke...

Here are a few of my favorite aviation related (some not) links:

www.whittsflying.com

Ok, though not the world's most organized or pretty site if you want to read about the meat and potatoes of flying from an accurate source this site is it.   If you have a question about flying chances are the answer AND EXPLANATION is in there..

This is where I have been going for all my training.  All I can say is that I got through private and instrument without a hitch at Rockwell Flight Training so they MUST be good.  I would recommend this program to just about anyone.  My advice to students that are interested:  You MUST want it.  If you want the rating and can apply yourself the rating is there for you.  Don't go if you can't stand pressure and just want to get behind a couple rams horns twice a month, this is an accelerated program- you will fly and you will learn - Clint Rockwell will identify your weaknesses and show you how to overcome them, this seems to be his specialty.  One minute you are screwing up, then he calmly asks you to do something that seems pointless; seconds later you realize not just how but WHY you were screwing up.  You will learn more in a few weeks than you thought you could learn in a lifetime.    Study hard, pass the written for the rating you want before you go, know the basics and fly your butt off when you get there!  Think of it as a mini-vacation with a prize at the end if you pay attention and apply yourself.    I wouldn't do it ant other way.   Too many distractions at home to do part time instruction.

OK OK - I go there pretty regularly just to see my name posted.
