About My Flying Machine

 Builder’s Name: F. Ray Gefken

 Background: (# Planes built, Experience as pilot/builder) built KR2 about half way. Sold before finish, Built last 50% of Fisher, 505 1st flight Oct 2003. Pilot rating- Private single engine land (aprox. 850 hrs)

 Aircraft Type/Model/Engine: Fisher 505 Skeeter, Rotax 277

 Why this Model? Enjoy working in wood, like open cockpit, traditional looking plane

 Modifications: entrance door, wrap around windscreen, redesigned cowl.

 Time to build: aprox. three years (three hundred + hrs)

 Builder’s Notes:

 Pros and Con’s of this Plane: wonderful handling, great visibility, small but comfortable cockpit, easy to move around in and out of hangar. Cons- underpowered with 277, heavy ailerons.

 Aspirations?: to take plane on camping trip for a week or two

 Adventures Taken in plane: still waiting

 Advice to future builders of this or any other model: Build and have fun
