The Cooperative Community is Flexible
Why a Cooperative Community?
We will work with you to design a schedule to ensure your needs are met.  We can also adapt our programs to different professional needs including specific vocabulary for doctors, businesspeople, lawyers, teachers and mechanics. We have taught students from all over the world!

Activities during lessons include conversation, games, translations, grammar, written and oral exercises, and discusion on a range of topics.  Also, we have a collection of Latin american music, books, and board games.
We are a cooperative of teachers with more than 10  years of experience. We have university degrees and particular expertise in Spanish grammar. We believe that your tuition should pay for excellent one-on-one Spanish instruction and not for the adminiatration of a school  In some schools, teachers do not receive fair salaries, but our teachers do receive a fair salary for their work. We believe that it is the teachers who make the difference in providing you with excellent instruction.

Activities
Salsa and Merengue, Maya ceremony demonstrations, and visits to the market, an organic macadamian farm, coffee, museum, museum of Indeginous music, AND MORE.......

Employment Tests
We have a teacher authorized by ETS to give the ACTFL and FSI.  These tests help you  to obtain employment in many organizations in Latin America. (extra testing fee)

If you study for at least four months, the test is free; otherwise, the cost is $30.

Volunteer Work
We offer opportunities to do volunteer work on a variety of projects.

Live with a Guatemalan Family
While living with a family, you will have the opportunity to practice your Spanish and learn about Guatemalan culture.  We have families throughout the city and in neighboring pueblos.

Students receive 3 meals/day from Monday-Saturday (Sunday excluded). This option offers a unique opportunity to participate in Guatemalan culture.

Other Accommodations
Students also have the option of staying in our guest house. Or, if you prefer, we will assist you in finding a hotel to suit your needs.

Reservation
we recommend reservations. Please send us details of your arrival by e-mail. If you wish we can meet you flight at airport La aurora in Guatemala City and take you to aur school or to your family  in Antigua. Just let us know your full flight information, including the airline, flight number, date and time of arrival. Special rates are available for this service. ($30).
