Some of my favorite animes are the works of Leiji Matsomoto. This guiness wrote and produced Captain Harlock, Queen Emeraldus, Space Battleship Yamamoto(Starblazers), DNA Sights 999.9, and Galaxy Express 999. My good friend Allykatt's page has wonderful commentary and pictures about Leiji Matsumoto's world.

Robotech was the first anime that I ever saw at the tender age of nine. The harmony Gold pruduction is a three genration tale about war, friendships and love. in a post holocaust future. The Beginner's Guide to Robotech is a good source for general Robotech information. Jason W Smith's Attention onDeck is the finest fan fiction I have ever read, and one of the best military novels I have read.

Slayers is a medevial anime featuring the adventures of Lina Inverse, a spunky warrior/sorceress. She has many cool friends including a lunk headed warrior named Goury, a half golem warrior/mage named Zell. Slayer's Universe is one the best source of information on Slayers that I have found on the web.

Dominion Tank Police is an epic about a tank unit in the far future. The atmosphere is so poisoned that people have to wear gas maks when moving around outside. Many chuckalicious characters including Leona, Captain Brenton, and the chaplain make up the police force. The series also has many memorable villans including Ani and Uni Puma and Buaka. The Dominion Page ia complete source for the anime and the manga.

Blackjack is the story of a surgeon with the hands of God. It is a serious anemea based on manga (japenese graphic novels) by Osama Tezuka. The Blackjack Image Shrine is a good source for Blackjack including pictures, product information, and information on the anime and the manga.

Grave of the Fireflies is a survivor story about two children in Japan during the last days of World War II. It is a very deep anime and it tells the horrid truth about war. Definately not for children. Grave of the fireflies - Hotura no haka is an a great page full of information.

Many people have asked me for a good source to look up information on all anime. Anipike is one of the most complete anime guide on the web. Anime Inn is a good source for pics from most anime out there.
An alarming trend in anime right now is what I my friends and I are calling anime crack. Such anime is designed to sellmerchandise instead of telling a story. Examples include Pokeman, Sailer Moon, and Digimon.
