Since moving to Dallas, I have been to many unique and colorful places. Here are a few that appeal to me.
Insomnia Coffee Bar is a coffee house in Deep Ellum. Cool place to hang on Friday and Saturday nights in between shows and sets at bars. They usually have live bands in the back and you can get a mean cup o' joe........
The Church is a goth club open Thursday and Sunday nights on Swiss in Deep Ellum. Dark atmosphere and always Denny's afterward.
Bells Books is a used bookstore on Gus Thomasson in Dallas. They have thousands of used paperback books, so if you are looking for a good read for cheap and you are not particular about collectability, check it out.
Angelika Film Centers is place to watch some indy films that you probably would not get anywhere else. Good bar and you can take muchies into the movie?
Four Day Weekend is the funniest improv I have ever seen. A definate unique date experience.
The Studio movie Grill When you watch mainstream movies, this is the place to be. Another dine in movie theater, with wonderful blue margaritas (ambrosia of the gods)
