This is the story of how we got our name...
The name came to exist on May 15, 2003. We came into school early that morning to practice for the talent show. We were originally going to call ourselves Better than English (as a take off of Better than Ezra) because five out of the six of us had English during the hour that the talent show was to take place. We had told our English teacher that we were better than English. But on this morning, Zach came up with a better name -- Escaping English. It stuck.
If you've already read the history page, this may sound familiar to you, on account of it's copied and pasted off the history page. I hope we don't get charged with pladgerizing our own work. I know... it sounds ridiculous, but, believe it or not, I've read a story where a guy got in trouble for "pladgerizing his own work."
