About the Alberta Roamers
Although our Chapter is based in Alberta, Canada, we're Roamers across Canada, United States and Mexico.

About half our members live in Alberta, 18% in the rest of Canada and 32% in the United States.
We are a fun-loving, outgoing group of SKP's who enjoy the anticipation of new sights and new friends..

We really enjoy welcoming new folk to our chapter get-togethers.

Several of our member offer information and/or parking for RVers visiting Canada, particularly Alberta or travelling to and from Alaska.
Alberta Roamers' History
In August 1996, 60 Escapees families living in Alberta were invited to a rally to determine the degree of interest in a local chapter. Ten enthusiastic families overwhelmingly supported the formation of an  Escapees Alberts Chapter. Two VCR couples attended the rally to provide information on the requirements of a chapter and to assist in the discussions.  By the end of the rally these ten families who were unknown to each other beforehand, had drawn up the bylaws and standing rules, elected officers, established rally hosts and dates for 3 rallies for the coming year, decided on chapter and newletter names and even designed a chapter logo.
Most importantly, though, strong bonds were formed, due in part to the very cooperative spirit shown by all those attending the rally. Since that initial rally the Alberta Roamers enriched the lives of many with 3 rallies every year, one in Arizona in February or March and 2 in Alberta in the summer. With each new rally, the cooperative spirit continues with more strong friendships formed and new  members who become active participants added.
From the 12 charter families Chapter 44 has grown to 60 in 7 years. currently two-thirds of Chapter 44's members are Canadian and one-third are American. Members come from all four points of the compass with broad range of experiences, talents and life stories!
We are right on the trail to the north, south, east and west.
