Ethiopian Students Association in Pune (ESAP) was founded in the summer of 1985. ESAP is an organization established to promote effective social and academic interaction among its members. ESA is a non-politically aligned organization. First the founding members had the following specific goals they planned to accomplish: createing a venue whereby Ethiopian Students can interact with each other and learn from one another's experiences.display and present our rich cultural heritage to the diverse foreign community here in pune, as well as our brothers and sisters from India. ESAP has been involved in numerous activities in line with our specified goals. Example orgaising Ethiopian cultural show, sporting activities, and some picnic. In the past many years ESAP was activly working with out being recognised by the indian or maharshtran governemnt.So ESAP is now on the verge of finishing the officail work done. Soon ESAP will be a legaly recognised, tax paying oragnisation of the Ethiopian students in India.
