MY STATION

My station is a basic setup which makes it challenging for contacts around the world.  I am currently using a 2 dipole setup.  One for 40 metres (tune for 80 metres which is not very efficient) and one for 20 metres.  Unfortunately the 15 metre dipole snapped in the cold and with all the snow it hasn't been fixed yet.

Equipment is all original and runs without the use of amplifiers

This has been a great rig right out of the box.  They do suffer from a couple of issues such as the dreaded dots problem but with some work this is soon fixed.  Mine has not suffered from this and has hardly missed a beat since taking it out of the box some 22 years ago now.

It is able to be computer controlled, although very basic.  It does not have all the computer control options that many of the newer radios have.

For a start up rig you couldn't go far wrong with this.  Just make sure the dots problem has been resolved and it will go on for years.

These 2 radios are currently "in storage" due to lack of 2M and 70cm activity at the current location.
