| Looking back to lonely shores That oft I walked with friends. Whisperings of Eldar days, The sea-breeze to me sends. Wishing to catch the winds, I sailed for fairer climes. But a stronger call now beckons me, I journey back, it is time. What stronger tie, What fearless call, Could have bro't me back. There is one, one over all. As once again, I set foot, On this mortal shore. I look for what called me hence, What bid me return here once more. Then I am caught up, In a fond embrace. His laughter erases all Of the tears upon his face. How foolish can one be? To condemn thy friends to sorrow? All the longings of today, Are lost in the joy of tomorrow. Arda's light may be fading, But I bid thee remember this. For friendship's ties are stronger, It's love to potent to miss. |
