Projects:                     Location of a Landfill.  While in my Map Interpretation class my group was responsible for determining the best possible site for a landfill.  We were responsible for the collection of the data and presenting our findings to the class.

 

                                                Siting of a Cracker Barrel.  While in my GIS class we were responsible for the evaluating of data and determining the best possible site to build a new Cracker Barrel.  We studied the area of Etowah County, AL.  After using GIS for our analysis we had to present our findings to the class.

 

                                                Location of a New Arts and Science Building. Also in my GIS class, we had to determine a new place on campus to build a new Arts and Science building. After studying the data we had to present our findings to the class.

 

                                                Determining Travel Route Through Yellowstone National Park.  In my Advanced Digital class we were responsible for using GIS to determine a five-day adventure through Yellowstone National Park.  We had to find and download the information ourselves and put the information into Arcmap for further examination.  We then had to prepare a formal report and give it to our instructor.

 

                                                Corridor Study.  In my Field Methods class I was assigned a team to work with to do a corridor study in the city of Florence.  We examined the zoning, land use/land cover, economic activity, and transportation routes in our corridor.  After analyzing our findings we had to present them to the class.

 

                                                Study of Thematic Imagery.  In my Remote Sensing class we were responsible for examining a series of thematic images.  After the examination was complete we had to provide our instructor with a formal report of our interpretation.

 

                                                Aerial Photography Notebook.  In Aerial Photography we had to examine ten aerial photographs and do an extensive analysis of each.  The analysis included measuring distances, height of buildings, and determining different patterns of each photograph.  We then had to laminate them and collect them in a notebook to be turned in at the end of the semester.

·         A starter all four years of my college golf career

·         A member of the 2002 South Regional Championship team and fourth place team at the 2002 National Championship

·         I currently serve as the Graduate Assistant Coach to Billy Gamble at UNA
