I really love Buicks as well. This is no longer my 1971 Buick Skylark 2 door hardtop coupe, stock 350 ci. engine, and a TH350 w/stage 2 shift kit. I changed it over from a 2 to a 4 bbl carb. I got some funky old Carter AFB that used to be on a Chrysler, but it works and looks good. It did make a good difference in power, but I think a different cam and bigger carb would help. I took off the nasty valve covers and fan and stripped them down and repainted/detailed them with some Buick Red paint, and used stainless steel bolts. I also put a chrome air cleaner on it and cut off the crappy glasspacks and replaced them with some nice Turbo mufflers. Right now it sounds better than any V-8 in town. I took off the old sagging springs on the rear and replaced them with my brother's old Riviera springs and it jacked the rear end up about 2", now it actually looks mean. Just recently 10/14/97, two days after my birthday, someone decided to sign their deathwish, they broke into my car, stole the stereo, and ruined my brand new trunk lock. I bought the car in March 1997 with some money I earned doing slave labor as a pizza deliverer. It needed a fender, some front end work, and some interior work. The body/paint besides that was awesome, and it runs great. I put a Prestige pullout tape/cd player (no longer in my posession), 2-4" Jensen's in the dash, a tweeter on the kick panel, 2-Audiovox 6x9's in the shelf w/100W amp, and 2-Pyramid Super Blue 15's in a sealed plexi-glass box powered by a Prestige 500W amp, sounds awesome. I've got 245/60/14's all around on some Cragar style chrome wheels. I've taken a couple of cars like a 1971 Lemans 350, a 1971 Olds Cutlass 350, too many Chevies, and am about even with a stock Mustang 5.0. My brother Sam owns a 1968 Riviera, and my other brother Matt owns a 1990 Mustang GT. I love all Buicks (except for stock 73-79 gaspers w/chevy v-8's, etc.) I like Oldsmobiles,Fords, and of course Datsuns, I dislike Chevies. I just sold this car to my friend Philipp. He decided to send it to the junkyard after not taking good care of it for a few months. I didn't want to sell the car, but I had to (parents just don't understand).
