Ed & Martha Pickrell, Jennifer and I plunged South to Panama City, FL on an excursion of fun, food, foamy drinks and first and final dozens.  We arrived Friday afternoon and checked into the island Breeze (newly remodeled with big hot tub).  We began our trek to Schooners for a drink and a jump-start and then catapulted to Hunt's Oyster bar.  This is a local hangout that supplies all of the oysters in PCB.  We ate 5 or 6 dozen ranging from raw to bake with butter, garlic, and hard parmesan cheese, Cajun baked, and jalapenos.  We then toured around and went back to the room.  We ended up eating at Sharkey's.  The next day was just a continuation of the one before.  We began at the Pickle Patch having a Pickle Patch special (omelet with roast beef, peppers, onions, mushrooms, tomatoes, and cheddar and Swiss cheese), Mmmmmmmmm!  We then spent about 2 hours at Wal-Mart.  Yes, you do need a buggy.  It was indeed a different animal from the ones in BHM.  We bought and bought.  Hats, shirts, beads, bikinis and brew were all on the menu.  We then went back to the hotel for a regroup and for a remake Margaritas.  We then headed out back to hunts for about 6 more dozen.  We left there and hit a coffee shop and had a lager at a local German hangout.  Then traveled West back to Club La Villa.  There was a big crowd and a bikini contest going on.  Unfortunately, neither Martha nor Jennifer would join.  We left there and went to Schooners to catch the cannon going off and a little dancing.  That was enough for Ed and Martha but Jen and I proceeded on.  We called it a night and hit the pickle patch one more time in the morning before our unwanted home proceedings.  We made a few stops on the way buying fruit and a couple of bonsai trees.  We finished up with the Eat fest at Tony Roma's in Montgomery before racing home to watch the premier of the Sopranos (You breakin' my B---s..  It was very pleasurable and we will definitely will be going back to Hunt's sometime soon!!!
