I know I haven't been the only one to run into a soul who is so single minded that they are convinced that their way is the only way, that their way is the right way. It's easy to understand, but still so hard to take. It angers me that so many people believe that racism is wrong, that homosexuality isn't so bad, but still they believe that being a witch means that you sacrifice cats and babies to the Goddess and that your spells bring unhappiness to the people around you!
There are witches out there that cast dark magic and bring bad to the people that harm them and the ones they love. Not everyone is like that. I for one choose to be a white spell casting solitary kitchen witch. It may not be the path for you, but it doesn't mean that either is right or wrong, just as it doesn't mean that christianity is right or wrong, or muslims are right or wrong, or islamic people. There are so many paths to take, and we all must respect each other and understand each persons need for belief.
There are so many "racist" people out there. I choose to stay mostly in the closet about my religion. And it's not completely right, because everyone should have the right to come out and say who they are without being laughed at or feared. But there are so many people who didn't have the knowledge, who assumed, and so many people died. Still the problem lightly lingers.
It's not the way of the wiccans to come out and announce that wiccan is what we are, but we all have lived in fear for so long... What does it really mean to come out and say it? What would it be like to announce what you believe and be accepted by everyone?
To be a witch means to love the Earth you live on. It means to accept everyone as they are. It means to be open minded towards the things that you cannot see or touch. It means to understand what goes on in the unconcious mind. And it means that you believe that you can change things for the better. I do not know one witch that sacrifices cats and goes around killing. I don't know one witch that believes in satan and has sold his or her soul to satan. These are things that we cannot accept and are virtually against. This is the reality that has been created for us, not by us. If you believe that this is what we are, killing, harm bringing people who are destined to live in hell... I advise you to change your point of views and talk to a real wiccan. Or maybe read through my little site here and see what you can see. And if you agree with me my sisters, then learn what you can learn. I hope that you never have to experience the hurt and unforgivingness of the mistaken people who live around us.
