Puzzling
Noble thou thought professed,
But mind devoid in thoughtfulness.
Mere pennies to buy,
But could bring down governments from high.
Colors of the rainbow and more,
But only one color of importance for sure.
Chew me up and spit me out
To swallow would not taste good, no doubt.
It can blind you in one eye or both,
But no malice it has to do these things gross.
If lost it becomes clear,
Try scratching your head and feeling your ear.
Although archaic in this modern world today,
It's hard to imagine being without it, I say.
It can make beautiful songs or verse
Or delve into black realms so terse.
For carpenters and little kids a common thing,
Useful only when dead to class I bring.
While easy to break,
Its power could overwhelm heads of state.
It's really good on wood or metal,
But not on glass or snowy shovel.
It corrects mistakes,
But none it makes.
