The Purpose of the El Reno Police Law Enforcement Explorer program is to stimulate intrest in law enforcement, build character in young adults, and bridge gaps with the youth in the community.
II. Policy (ADM. 13.01)
The El Reno Police Law Enforcement Explorer program is authorized under a charter of the Boy Scouts of America Explorering program and shall be under the sponsorship of the Chief Of Police and the El Reno Police Department.
The Post shall be supervised by an advisory board. The advisory board will be comprised of at least one (1) advisor (Post Coordinator) and assistant advisor, one of which is a male and one of which is a female. All members of the advisory board shall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age. The advisor shall be a commissioned officer of the El Reno Police Department.
In addition to the advisory board there shall be an advisory committee formed to assist the post with fund raisers and other activites. This committee shall consist of a chairperson and at least two (2) members. All Persoons on this committeeshall be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
III. Objectives (ADM. 13.01)
The objectives of this organization are:
A. To learn procedures of the El Reno Police Department and other criminal justice related fields through training activites and programs presented by qualified personnel.
B. To aid the El Reno Police Department when called upon by the Chirf Of Police or his designee and the post advisor.
C. To aid our community in any way reasonable
IV. Standards of Dress and Conduct (ADM. 13.01)
A. Members of the post shall follow the code of ethics as provided for in the bylaws.
B. Members must be ready and willing to comply with any reasonable and lawful instructions given them by an officer of the post or the El Reno Police Department.
C. Members must be ready at all times to aid the post or agency in the furthering of its objectives and purposes.
D. Members shall maintain an orderly well-kept appearnace at all times and maintain the dress code as provided for the Post bylaws.
E. Members shall wear the designated uniform when preforming member duties.
