Embassy Row are a skacore band from the Isle of Wight at the south of England. We are made up of 8 male members who are as follows: Harry Wareham (vocals), James Cooper (guitar, backing vocals), Josef Grzyb (bass, backing vocals), Ben Athey (drums), Tony Allen (trumpet), David Fishwick (trumpet), Neil Ogilvie (trombone) and Ben Whiting-Wilbee (saxophone). The band was formed on a sunny afternoon 2 years ago when we were all skateboarding around and decided a band would be cool to start with all of our good mates, although the line up and style of music was vastly different back then. When we formed we didnt have a brass section and we were a 4 piece consisting of James, Josef, Ben and Harry and we were fast becoming a nu-metal punk band. Luckily we managed to steer away from that and as we were already into ska/punk we started on some ska stuff and it seemed to work. Then we needed a brass section to uplift the band so Ed Eldridge(first trumpet player we had) was accepted into our band as he told us he was grade 5 on the trumpet. Then the golden days began as soon as 'Strapadictomy' was written we knew we were gonna love what we were doing. Then soon after we got writing our own songs we found young Greg who wanted to join us as a trumpet player. We played with this set up for a while until we found Ben Whiting-Wilbee to play the saxophone he was in James' and Bens' music class at college. That made us up to 7 members, this line up lasted quite a long time until Ed and Greg both left the band for Uni last year. In their place we managed to recruit Neil Ogilvie and Tony Allen from former 5 Hit Showdown stardom, with the new line up we got ourselves a new sound, it had been what everyone had wanted and now with a big line up change, it seemed the time to do it, we turned ourselves to more darker and heavier ska/punk sound - skacore. This is still the present sound and we have found it is exactly what we wanted, and hopefully it will continue for a long time. At the time of writing we have probably had about 265 gigs dotted around the Island and mainland, we have played with many big bands including, Farse, 5 Knuckle, Tribute To Nothing, Spankboy, Mustard Plug, Howards Alias, Dan potthast (Mu330), The Flying Marrows, plus many more we can't remember at the present time. We have won the Island Battle of the Bands and got to the semi final of the Emergenza battle of the bands (which is a rip off) until we got disqualified. I'll say no more. We have recorded 3 EP's and another 1 off track at professional studios as well as some shizza recorded at Colwell Studios by ourselves. We are looking to record our album in the very near future, so watch out for that! well this is probably a really boring read and probably the crappest bio you have ever read so we'll finish now by saying..COME TO OUR NEXT GIG SUCKA!
