This is my second year teaching. I had experience in the third and fifth grades during my student teaching. I know my calling is for first grade. Even though this is only my second year, I truely enjoy teaching first graders how to read. That is the greatest challenge and the greatest success when working with six and seven year olds. When that light bulb goes on and they are able to see the value and enjoyment in reading, I know I have completed my job well. |

As I mentioned on my home page, I enjoy stamping and scrapbooking. I like getting together with my girl friends to make cards for all occasions and put my pictures in creative albums for my friends and family to enjoy long into the future. I also enjoy playing games; board games, card games, guessing games, and sports. During the summer is when I am the most involved in sports. I play softball with my church and go waterskiing and wakeboarding with my family. I also enjoy working on home imporvement projects around the house with my husband. |

My husband and I are both very involved in a local church. We attend Christ Community Church in Carmichael. Together, we lead a Bible Study for other young married couples similar to ourselves. Through this Bible Study and other church events we have developed many strong friendships with other young couples.

I am married but do not have any children of my own at this point in my marriage. My parents and sister live in the Walnut Creek, California. My husband was born in El Salvador, so not only do we have family in the Bay Area, but most of his extended family is still in his home country. We enjoy going down to visit when we get the chance. |
