Links

It was a dark, muggy night in Athens when I decided I had nothing better to do than drain the laptop battery while organizing my links page.  For your edification.

Merriam-Webster.com
For those of you puzzled by words such as "edification", this is the place to be.  Its the single most frequented web site on my computer, no joke.  I swear by it.

Baltimore Jugglers Association
I have been in attendance at this fine organization for a little over a year now.  Even managed to rise to the ranks of Vice President.  Seriously, we're a fun-lovin' bunch, and we're always on the lookout for new members.  Stop on by sometime!

The View-Master URL
I don't know why this is here.  Honestly.  Probably because I'm in awe of how complete it is.  Wow.

MIDI Farm
MIDI Files!  Git yer free MIDI files.  This site is the first one I turn to for current pop hits and classic favorites all in Musical Instrument Digital Interface format.  One day I'll actually submit, I promise.

J.P.O.S. - Jokes
A very nice collection--some of which I actually hadn't heard via mass forwards.  Worth your while, trust me.

CD Now
Rap or Classical, Popular or Rare, Import or Top 10, it doesn't matter... they have it.  My musical tastes tend to fall of center, but CD Now always seems to have what I'm looking for.  Great prices, too.

Yahoo
Yahoo, Yahoo, Yahoo, wherever would I be without yoo?!  I get my e-mail, chat, calendar, weather, web page, news, and search engines from these guys-- there isn't much they DON'T do.

Studek's Web Page
Studek and I have been really close friend ever since the American Music Abroad '99 Bronze Tour.  Apparently, we were both sorta running like hell and ended up running into each other.  Funny how fate just seems to work FOR you every now and again.  Nevertheless, here is her web page... I hope this is the current (read: working) link.

The Onion: America's Finest News Source
Man, if I could have any job in the world, it would be to write for these guys.  The satire is brilliant, absolutely brilliant.  Thinks that make you go "hmph!".  Outloud.  Special thanks to Scott for introducing me to this particular brand of humor.

Internet Movie Database
This is a great time-killer, plus a helluva way to verify that while Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon thing.  Basically, its the credits of every movie ever made, all in a nicely presented web format.  Plus info and filmography for specific actors, reviews, and a bunch of other stuff I haven't even gotten to yet.  Check it out.

Rockapella
Do you remember "Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?"  This was their house band.  I had been hoping they would put out their own music after a while, and lo and behold, I stumbled across this.  It's infectious... I heard "Moments of You" on Monday, and I had the CD in hand by Tuesday.  They so richly deserve to go mainstream.

Renegade Juggling
Where the Baltimore Juggler's Association heads for props.  Good selection, excellent quality, great prices.  Can't ask for much more.

 The Illustrated Elton John Discography
Every lyric to every Elton John song ever recorded.  Really!

Lyrics Schmerics
Line-by-line "analysis" of contemporary pop hits.  The first few ones that you read are hilarious, then they all start to fit into the same cookie-cutter mold.  Its still a riot.

Atomic Archive
Information regarding the arms race of the Cold War and the rise of nuclear technology, specifically dealing with the Manhattan Project.  Thank you Science, History, and Beliefs.

University of Georgia
The institution that started it all... my father is currently their director of Internal Auditing, and I'll be attending in the fall.  Those two facts ARE mutually exclusive of each other...

College Humor.com
I went to high school with these guys, and now their headed toward millions by maintaining a site of perverse and disgusting drivel.  MORE POWER TO YA, GUYS!!!!  I find it absolutely hilarious that their site is banned at Dulaney High School, too...

Mapquest
Need to get from Point A to Point B (and find a Denny's on the way)?  Mapquest, all the way.

Clarinetboy's Spot
Greg Jackson's excellent web page.  Oh, be sure to check out his Rant section.  Future Soapbox Sessions will be dedicated to tearing them into itsy-bitsy, well-defended shreads...  hee hee hee...

Bob-bob-bobbin' Along
Courtney Weiner's Home Page.  She's got some really awesome pictures, plus a growing poetry section.  Good stuff, worth checking out :-)

Furniture Porn
I ... well ... see, it's ...  um ... uh ... yeah ...
