Nothing To Fear

Noah's Hammer
I cannot begin to count the times when life's struggles, hardships, and disapointments prompted me to enter my "music room", put in a tape and begin singing. It seemed at that moment, that I checked out of reality and focused on what really matters during those times...Jesus Christ . For He said He would be our burden bearer, and a very present help in time of trouble.    Jesus gave me a song!

The title song, penned by Squire Parsons, alludes...Jesus gave me a song, when the battles are raging, Jesus gave me a song in the darkest night...Amen!     I can testify to that!

I also think about some very special people that have touched my life because of similar experiences...for instance Debbie, whose unexpected loss of her companion left her with four children to raise. For Muzettte, battling a chronic ailment that has been going on for several years. For Heather, trying to deal with lupis and a blood disorder in her young life. Bro. Bill, who has been in and out of the hospital numerous times with complications. For my dad who had to deal with loneliness, my wife during the recent loss of her mother...and the list goes on and on. Yes, I praise the Lord for support of family and friends, but there has to be a song, just as it was for Paul and Silas in jail to keep our focus on the Lord. I know it's hard to praise the Lord in difficult times as these, because life is not fair...

But, witnessing their lives and testimony kindles the fire of faith. And you know, despite the adversity, I can assuradly say that these folks will continue to "praise His name!"
Because with Jesus as our meditator, we can truly say that greater is He that is in us, than he that is in the world.
