Elephantide ( blue: grade 4)
Exhibits a unique combination of superior electrical strength,
mechanical toughness and flexibility and has a proven durability
under the most arduous service conditions.
Over the years improvements have been of better raw material
sources and processing techniques. The furnish is threads
and first grade cotton linters made by taking advantage modern
developments in made up using new cotton pulp.
Composites of Elephantide® Grade 4 multi-ply presspaper
and polyester film find use predominantly as motor slot and
overhang insulation in Class 'E' rated rotating machines.
This combination is particularly suited for punching, creasing
and forming and is used in a wide variety of electrical, domestic
and industrial appliances.
