Survival or Extinction
Our heritage breeds of livestock are disappearing at an alarming rate.
Over 60 breeds of poultry, cattle, sheep, pigs, horse, ponies
and waterfowl are endangered.
These animals are our agricultural history, our heritage, our living treasure of genetic diversity. We could lose them all.
Rare Breeds Canada is an organization that protects endangered livestock and poultry through preservation and promotion.
