(JERSEY) BLACK GIANT Developed in New Jersey at the end of the 19th century, it is the tallest and heaviest of the blacks. Its plumage displays gleaming black feathers with green reflections. The hen is a good layer of brown eggs even during wintertime, and despite its very slow maturing rate, the rooster provides good meat for the table. Développée au New Jersey à la fin du 19e siècle, cette race produit la plus grande et la plus lourde des poules noires. Son plumage est noir lustré avec des reflets verts. La poule est une bonne pondeuse d'oeufs bruns, même en hiver. Malgré sa maturation très lente, le coq fournit du bon poulet de chair.
