Energized
Mediterranean bird,

originated in Sicily,
the first importation from
the island coming
to America in 1835.
The work "Sicilian," has been dropped. The
Buttercup owes
its name to the cup-shaped comb,
its most
characteristic feature,
and the golden ground colour
of its
plumage.
