City Name: Xuiyrel

City Description: An ancient underground city carved into the base of Mount. Rehyn.
City History: Xuiyrel was created when the Ancient Drow had to flee their previous home [Rusienne] when almost half of their population were massacred by the main Elven army. All houses in the city are technically part of the mountain itself, as the Drow decided to carve their homes from pure rock. The halls are lit by giant iron pits filled with flames, making its environment scorching.
Xuiyrel was formally run by a leader and a group of traders, but since the death of both Uthios [the previous city ruler] and the traders, a Drow named Atienoa has become the leader of the slave trade and the leader of the city simultaneously.
The slave trade is the city�s main source of income, and those who are not born into wealthy families are destined to become slaves of those who are more affluent or to outsiders who have links to Atienoa. The trade is used as both a means of income and a way of population control, as around 30% of children born [mostly those from the slums] are sold to outside buyers.
The city is split into two distinct areas. Hyyn is the location of the first settlement: the houses are large and ornate and the rich live in this here. Gwenn is filled with smaller houses and was created around a thousand years after Hyyn in order to cope with the city�s rapidly increasing population, and in recent years has become a slum.
