City Description: The Elven city of Aure is the largest elven city to exist in Gandele. It is located in the north, hidden within a great forest and protected by various shileds and wards, meaning invasion is almost nearly impossible.
City History: The city of Aure was founded after the destruction of the village of Shilaria. It became a safe haven for Elves, who gathered in the forest after the destruction of their village, in hopes of building themselves a city which was both safe and comfortable. Aure started as merely a few houses and a council meeting hall. It was decided in the beginning that there would be no monarchy in Aure, simply a Council, comprised mainly of the city mages, the highest rank attainable in Aure. The Council was named the Val'Istarian Council, and at the head was Grand Mage Astardea. 371 years after the construction of Aure, Grand Mage Astardea died and a new mage was appointed. Grand Mage Erishon began changing the city of Aure after his appointement as Grand Mage, changing it by adding shields and barriers to protect it from invasion.
