![]() | The Saluki Club of America National Specialty is held in the first part of June at the Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, KY. The specialty show stretches over five days and includes lure coursing, agility, obedience and, of course, conformation. This year all the judges were from America, so three different judges judged the conformation classes. During this time, the park is also host to the Pyramid Society Arabian horse show. Unfortunately, Eris and Bally didn't have a chance to go meet any horses. Bally wasn't too sure if he'd like horses! The horse park is very large and this year covered in green grass. It is also pretty hot in June!

| Nationals is a great time to catch up with friends and see LOTS of salukis. Bally meet a few new people and decided that there were several other people who DID NOT need to touch him. There was almost a full reunion of Bally's litter as three of his siblings, Mari, Holly and Caz, were all entered in Best of Breed with him. All four had a great time, but no one placed. | ![]() |
![]() | After a long day at the show, we all went to the main part of the horse park to see the sights. The tree lined walks provided some relief from the heat. We didn't go into any of the stables or building beacuse they don't allow dogs. I wonder why? | ![]()
