Walk around the outside aisles at the grocery store at least once before you start to shop. I don't know about you, but personally, seeing all that food would just make me more hungry. Instead, how about: don't go grocery shopping when you're hungry, period. 05.17.04 The next time you go grocery shopping, here's a couple things to keep in mind: *Buy the deepest color of ground beef you can find. The darker the red, the less fat it contains. *Replace unhealthy snacks, such as regular potato chips and candy bars, with tasty, healthy snacks items such as walnuts, baked tortilla chips or rice cakes. Research has shown that walnuts contain omega-3 fatty acids, which as part of a healthy diet may help reduce your risk of heart disease. |
