We stayed at The Moorings Village in Islamorada, Florida. The weather was fantastic -- finally! We were there Tuesday - Saturday after our wedding, and it was just phenomenal. Smarter folks had been scared off the keys by the hurricanes (we won't comment), so we had them nearly to ourselves.
We spent much of our time in a hammock on the beach... after four days of 24-hour wedding planning, we were ready for some down time.
For the sake of variety, we sometimes moved to the hammock on the pier; better breeze, lovely view of the beach.
We did get up long enough to have a fabulous sunset cocktail hour on the other side of the key at the Moorings Restaurant.
And we made a day trip to Key West -- fun! HOT, but fun, and not terribly crowded (again, hurricanes).
