Our class brought 292 cans last week!!  That is outstanding!  What a wonderful way to help out our community.  Thank you parents and students for your participation in this rewarding experience!  As a result, our class brought the most for the school, and we will be having an ice cream party.  Way to go!

Homework Reminders

*Practice Spelling and Math Basic Facts at home each night!

 

*Read 15 minutes each night and sign the Reading Log.

 

Reminders

*Be sure to send your child’s lunch money in an envelope with his/her name and lunch number on the front. 

 

*Our ice cream routine has changed.  We will now have ice cream on Mondays and every other Wednesday.

Field Trip

Permission slips were sent home on Friday regarding our 2nd grade field trip to Catawba Science Center on Thur., Oct. 18th.  Every student must have a permission slip signed and returned in order to go.  Please return that and  $2.00 by Oct. 12th.  Students will need to bring a bag lunch with twist-top drink as well—only pack things that can be thrown away!  Thank you!

Parent Conferences

The end of the first grading period will be Oct. 26th.  We will have parent conferences on Tue. the 30th and Thur. the 1st from 3:15—7:30.  Look for upcoming information regarding scheduling times.  I look forward to meeting with all of you!
