| Just Another Day By Erin_Cale Disclaimer: See first part. *** I dont see why youre not interrogating her, Tyr remarked, casting a disdainful glance in Kathryns direction. Why? Whats the point Tyr? Shell tell us anything we want to know about her, where she comes from... And shes a nice person who just doesnt want to sit behind a desk for the rest of her life, Trance added. You know something youd like to share with the rest of us, oh sparkly one? Harper asked. Just that shes nice and shes not our enemy. You know that for sure, Trance? She wont hurt us. Im absolutely sure of that. Dylan sighed, running a doubtful hand through his still uncombed hair. Okay, fine. Rommie, can you see that she gets quarters? Close to the rest of us, preferably, so we can keep an eye on her. Yes sir. Rommie left to help out the droids with preparing a room. Dylan, in turn, advanced until he stood only a few feet away from the new woman. We believe that you arent going to be a threat to us. However, were going to keep an eye on you just in case. If you have a problem with that, well be just as happy putting you on the next habitable planet we come to. I understand. Kathryn smiled for the first time since she had entered this universe. Dylan noted that the transformation that came with the smile was stunning. Thank you. We have some service bots preparing your room right now. In the meantime, would you like some food? All right, but on one condition. Dylan smirked at the thought that this stranger, who had been on the ship for less than four hours, was already setting conditions. I would like to eat with everybody, if thats all right. I want to learn all I can about this universe. Dylan looked over his shoulder at his crew. Beka shrugged, Trance nodded and Tyr turned away, rolling his eyes. Im okay with that. Kathryn looked into his eyes for a moment longer, then nodded her head sharply and motioned for him to lead the way. *** |
