This is my first attempt at a web page. Wide experience in the design of digital systems. Education: Bachelor of Electrical Engineering Georgia Institute of Technology 1982 Employment History Independant Projects 2001 Designed a industrial controller processor card based on the Au1000 from Alchemy Semiconductor using Orcad for schematic capture and layout. Studied the new OSX development environment from Apple Computer. Epilog Corporation 11/92 - 04/01 Technical Support Managed technical support, created technical documentation, resolved problem test cases, instructed others, maintained computers and ran tests for a laser cutting and engraving machines. Handled customer engineering relationships. Helped the company grow from 7 people in 1993 to 33 in 2001. Applied Engineering 10/91 - 08/93 Hardware Design Engineer Designed numerous adaptors/peripherals for the Apple Macintosh line of computers. These included accelerator cards, Ethernet cards, and adapter cards for accelerators. CAD/CAM techniques were used. DayStar Digital 03/89 - 11/90 Hardware Design Engineer Designed adapters/peripherals for Apple Macintosh computers. These included a large screen color graphics adapter, high-speed back planes, dual port memories, and NuBus interfaces. CAD/CAM techniques were used throughout. Also wrote test software to exercise the hardware during debug. Martin Marietta Corporation, Astronautics Division 05/82 - 02/89 Test Engineer Held a Department of Defense secret clearance as part of work on the Peacekeeper missile program, the Titan missile program, and the Defense Systems program. Designed custom test tooling and wrote test procedures to run electrical, functional, and performance tests over a broad range of conditions: vacuum, temperature, and vibration per Military Standards 1540. Computer skills Hardware/OS: Apple, PC/Windows(95/98/NT/ME) Languages: C, Objective C, Assembly, PostScript, PL/M. Hobbies: Apple/NeXT computing, recreational cycling, music, and science fiction.
