My thing to go like an Au Pair, was to see how kids live in some another country then my own. It was a hard thing to choose which country I going to choose. But after a while I choused USA. I have heard about the country so much and the whole USA is a big Adventure.
It was only one thing and that was; I am a guy which not is a "planning man" I take the day which it comes.
So it was hard thing to plan for me, so I took contact with a company with the name Ef Aupair which now have change the name to Cultrual Care Au pair. And I only say that; If you not are a " planning man" fix a company which do it for you, it is more easier for you.
But why I tried to plan to go like an Au pair is not hard to understand, when the only thing I have plan in my life is to work with people in every age.
Anyway I took contact with Cultrual Care Au Pair and it took like 6 month for them to find a family for me.
To fix a company which fix a family for you coast a little bit, but it's worth it and you have many company
to choose between. But after my year with Culrual care au pair I give them an approved year.
My year:
The year began at the airport in Gothenburg. My parents hadn't understand that I am going before we stand there on the airport to say Good bye. It was not so easy to take good bye of the family, it was a lot of crying:(. It can happen much on a year and that's why it was so hard to take a farewell.
I flied from Gothenburg to Amsterdam and from that place to New York, there my new life for a year began.
In New York on Long Island waited a course on one week to learn about kids and cooking. No problem for me maybe, when I work with kids in my usually time. But everybody does not do that, so everybody needed to go this course. But the course was not so bad, because one day they took us in to New York on a touring day and we got to se everything.
When the course was finish waited the families on you. Well Some of the Au pair's needed to travel a while on a airplane or bus and I was one of them. I needed to take a four-hour bus trip to Washington dc in the state of Virginia , there the family going to pick me up. I had contact with the family on the phone before I met them, but I was anyway a little bit nervous for the meeting.
