The New 72' SS
why yes that is a super charger on there...hehe
This car was initially from Florida with 39,000 miles on the ticker when I bought it. I just bought the rolling chasis and me and Chris Dingerson transplated the built motor out of the Elcamino into it.  I soon got an itch to try out the Super Charger that was purchased for my previous Chevelle, and began the enduring task. This car is most know for its distintive roar....I must say it sounds good. Take a look at some of the pics below.  I will eventually post more.

Very pretty...I did alot of detail work to this motor. Since this pic I repainted the block again.

-350 over 30 stroked to 383ci
-JE SRP pistons .25 dome
-Scat 4150 Forged connecting rods
-Scat forged crank
-Same intake and carb as other motor and same cam probably
-if i went with a roller cam i could have easily 540hp
-I think I'm going with a set of Pro topline heads....GIGANTIC 235 CC RUNNERS, 2.08 INTAKE, AND 1.6 EXHAUST VALVES, WITH 72 CC CHAMBERS
-Compression should be around 11:1
- I dailed this into Dyno2000 and said that it would make 488 hp at 6500 and 455 TQ at 5000 rpm thats without a supercharger
not too bad
Here are some Specs:
-350 over 40 (358) bolt main, ARP bolted
-TRW Forged pistons chromoly rings
-GM performance "X" rods
-Edelbrock performer RPM camshaft with.488 intake lift and .51 exhaust and 308 intake duration and 318 exhaust
-Edelbrock performer RPM polished intake with alittle porting
-Corvette heads 2.02/1.6 double hump heads 64cc. 10:8:1 comp
-Ran three different carbs; edelbrock 750, holley 700 dp and a professionally gone through 750 dp holley blow through carb
-Paxton SN-2000 Supercharger was on  there for a while with 8psi, but had a 12 psi puller as well
-Ceramic coated headers feed exhaust to dual 2.5 in. mandel bent  flowmaster exhaust with 40 series 2 chamber mufflers
-Backed with a gone through Th-400 with shift kit and 3,200 TCI streetfighter stall
-Richmond 3.73 gears going in soon
