...otherwise known as Siemie (see me), was born on July 23rd, in a year not to long ago. She was born in the Netherlands, later to move with her family to the United States, as a teenager.
In the years that followed, she fully applied herself to becoming the best that she could be. First learning to function in an entirely different country than she was used to. Adapting and learning, day by day. Starting out only being able to say, "I have no money in my pocket", to writing her own autobiography in english, just because she loves to write.
She later fell in love, married and became the mother that she loves to be. She gave birth to three sons; Erik, Ivor, and Louis. She devoted her entire young adulthood to raising these boys the best that she could... ...and did a wonderful job. As her children grew into manhood, she set her sites on another goal...
...TEACHING. She spent many many years of hard study, personal sacrifice and perserverance to obtain this goal. Year, after year, after year, until she achieved the degrees that SHE wanted to achieve. Now that she has the academic degrees to show her great accomplishments, she has begun to slow down, and enjoy what she has done for herself. She teaches physically and mentally handicapped children, and overlooks other teachers as they do the same.
Being a modern, independant woman, teacher, mentor, mother and now a grandmother as well... ...Siemie is a woman you can look up to, admire, and strive to be like. There aren't many like her in this world, so lets honor the ones we do have.
I'm proud of you, Mom... ...and I Love you!
