Masjid Fund Raising Project

Dear Respected Brothers and Sisters in Islam,
As-salamaoalekum
Our small Muslim community in Erie , Pennsylvania is embarking upon buying a property just across the Masjid to convert it into a new Masjid (Mosque)/sunday school and community center and in dire need of your generous donation. Over the past few years, we have seen a steady growth in our small Erie community. We have grown beyond to a multinational Islamic community of about 250-300 families. Our current Masjid is too small to accommodate the congregational prayers (Juma prayers) and community gathering during Ramadan & Eid prayers. It is also becoming very limiting for Sunday Islamic school and other social activities.
Whoever builds a Masjid for the love of Allah SWT, Allah SWT will build for donar a palace in jannah". (Sahih Bukhari & Muslim).
Donating money to build a masjid for the sake of Allah SWT is a sadaqah jariah (continues charity), meaning the reward will continue to reach the donor even after the death, according to our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) in an authentic hadith.
How you can help the Islamic Association of Erie :
1. Forwarding this email to friends and family and encouraging them to help us reach our goal (US $ 125000).
2. Print this e-mail message and post it in your local Masjid/community center.
3. Supplicate to Allah SWT and ask Him to make this effort successful.
