I
was lucky enought to attend the 1999 Nobel Peace Prize Ceremonies in
Norway during December of that year. Really, I just lucked out by writing
a letter to the Nobel Institute, explaining how I was in Scandinavia
studying Peace and Conflict Studies and they sent me a ticket. I can't
say enough wonderful things about Norway - it is an incredibly beautiful
country - I mean, what could anyway say bad about a country who celebrates
Sunday as "go hiking outside" day. It's like Mountain Equipment
Co-Op exploded in Scandinvia. And, people on the streets smile at you!
Something to get used to if you are coming from Sweden!
