I have just heard that Kathy Gress passed away last night - I am not sure
how many of you have had any interaction with Kathy - she ran the HR
group in SB for many years (from before my time).  From my experience she was
a warm & kind individual with considerable skill in her profession.  She did
alot to build ACC up to what it was.  In these difficult economic times, it is
news like this that puts our current position into perspective.  Please spare a
thought for Kathy and her family.

Kathy passed away peacefully on June 17, 2002 at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. Services will be held at Welch-Ryce-Haider Funeral Chapel, 15 E Sola Street, at 6pm on Wednesday, June 19. Kathy has resided in Santa Barbara for the past 27 years. She is survived by her husband David, her daughter Gina and her son Andy, her mother and father Joe and Mary Jane Keep, her sisters Eileen McVey and Debi Kennedy and her brothers Richard Keep and Robert Keep and several nieces and nephews. Kathy worked for several companies in the Santa Barbara area managing human resources and touched many peoples' lives in a caring and positive way. She was last employed as human resources director at Agility Communications. No mother ever loved her children more or wished more for them. She cared so much not only for those closest to her but also those in her large extended family and her many friends who never stopped praying for her. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the scholarship fund set up at Santa Barbara Bank & Trust for Gina and Andy.
