        This function creates a 44 element model of the vocal folds structure that is one         element thick.  The general shape is based on Titze's 2-D finite difference             model with a thickness of 5mm

            VARIABLES to adjust

fname    =    name of file to save the  information in;
l    =     depth of the third dimension;
z    =    levels of the third dimension (depth).  if 2 then only one element thick because            there are two layers of nodes;
bnc    =    base element coordinates that will then be projected in the third dimension
nod    =    global nodes in order
