PORTFOLIO CHECKLIST
You are expected to maintain a portfolio which you
will hand in WEEK 14. To ensure
that you keep your portfolio up to date,
I will check your portfolio during each reading quiz (every second week)
and sign the vocabulary sections.
Your final portfolio should contain:

READING HOMEWORK |

for each of the
7 reading homework articles: -a vocabulary
list (20 words minimum with definitions) -a paragraph
explaining what you think the most important points in the article are
(minimum 50 words) |

GLOBALIZATION PRESENTATION MATERIALS |
|
-summaries and
vocabulary lists for the 2 articles you read for your globalization
presentation (PLUS COPIES OF THE ARTICLES) |

FIELD OF STUDY PROJECT MATERIALS |
|
-summaries and
vocabulary lists for the 2 articles you read for your field of study
presentation (PLUS COPIES OF THE ARTICLES) |
|
-a copy of your
CV |
|
ESSAY |
|
-a 500 word essay on the Pressure Point presentation
or on your experience in Quebec City |
Use a folder with pockets for your portfolio, and
write all summaries and vocabulary lists on lined looseleaf.
IMPORTANT: Please READ AND REREAD the "Summary Writing
Guidlines", and make sure that you are doing your summaries properly. The summaries don’t have to be long (but I
am asking for a minimum of 50 words), but they MUST REFLECT AN UNDERSTANDING OF
THE IMPORTANT POINTS IN THE ARTICLE.
The summaries are the core of this course; it is essential that you
write them well.
