Star 1
Big Bob-Omb on the Summit
To get the star, just go to the mountain summit and confront the Big Bob-Omb. He'll start the fight by tossing Bob-Ombs at you. Gulp the Bob-Ombs down, then quickly spit them back at the Big Bob-Omb. He'll give you the star after three hits.
Star 2
Footrace with Koopa the Quick
You can only challenge Koopa the Quick as Mario, but there is an easier way to get the star than freeing Mario. All you have to do is locate the Mario Cap, an item that will temporarily transform you into Mario, which is shown on the touch screen. Once you have found the Mario Cap talk to Koopa the Quick and accept his challenge and bet him in a race to the mountain summit to earn the star.
Star 3
5 Silver Stars
In order to get this star you must collect the five silver stars, which are shown on the touch screen. The first star is on top of a tree near the starting point. The second star is at the end of the Chain Chomp's tail, which is now traveling around the cannon in the first field, use Yoshi's Gulp Ability to grab the star from the Chain Chomp's tail. The third star is inside a Goomba in the four post field. The forth star is in a flower patch near the mountain path that is surrounded by coins. The final star is inside a Goomba near the first tree on your way up the mountain. The gold star will appear near the starting point in the level after you collect the five silver stars.
Star 4
Bib Bob-Omb's Revenge
The Big Bob-Omb is looking for revenge, but this time you have to pick him up from behind then toss him on the ground three times without throwing him off the mountain, but Yoshi can't do that, so you have to find the Mario Cap. After you do challege the Big Bob-omb and beat him for the star.
Star 5
Mario Wings to the Sky
To get this star you have to rescue Mario and push the ? Block. If you have shoot you self to the floating island and as MArio hit the ? Block and grab the feather then jump into the cannon and fly through the center of all five gold rings. After you go through all five gold rings the star will appear at the four post field.
Star 6
Find the Eight Red Coins
To get the star you must collect all eight red coins. The first coin is above the elevator near the starting point. The second coin is ontop of a rock at the first field. The third coin is ontop of the Chain Chomp's post. The forth and fifth coin is at the four post field. The sixth coin is behind the gate where the black balls hit the wall. The seventh coin is up at the begining of the mountain path. The final coin is ontop of the tree on th floating island. After you collect all eight red coins the star will appear at the four post field.
Star 7
Behind the Chain Chomp's Gate
All you have to do to get this star is get the Chain Chomp to break the gate behind him ,which you can do by pounding his post three times.
Star 8
100 Coin Star
To get this star you must collect 100 coin. This task is much easier you've rescued Mario and activated the ? Block, which is atop the castle tower. First, as Mario, goto the floating island. Next, grab the feather, then shoot yourself out the cannon and collect as many coin as you can. After you collect some coins scour the level for the rest of the 100 Coins and remeber that one red coin counts as two gold coins.
