Heart Pieces and Containers

Heart Containers

There are six Heart Containers in this game. Five are from bosses and one is from a special Kinstone Fusion.

Heart Container #1
Giant Chuchu
Boss of the Deepwood Shrine
To defeat this boss use the Gust Jar to suck up the Jelly at the Giant ChuChu's Base and when it hits the ground whack it with your sword till its no more.

Heart Continer #2
Gleerok
Boss of the Cave of Flames
Fire the Can of Pacci at Gleerok's shell to expose it's weak point, then run across it's neck and hack away with your sword once Gleerok starts moving again use it's neck to get back to solid ground and repeat the process till Gleerok falls.

Mazaal
Boss of the Fortress of Winds
Fire Arrows at the Orbs in Mazaal's palms, then slash them with your sword once they fall to the ground. Once you disable both hands use one of the Minish Portals, then climb into Mazaal's head and slash whichever pilliar is glowing. On your second visit to Mazaal's head use the Mole Mitts to find the glowing pilliar.

Giant Octorok
Boss of the Temple of Droplets
Deflect the Octorok's attacks back at him with your shield. Once you hit him three times he'll freeze himself. Next, ignite his flowered tail with your Flame Lantern. Repeat the process till the Giant Octorok falls.

Heart Piece #5
Gyorg Pair
Boss of the Palace of Winds
At the beginning of the battle, leap onto the red Gyorg's back. When the beast opens its eyes, mutiply yourself in the same formation. You must stike all three eyes at once. Once he opens up all his eyes start hacking , when he starts to explode jump onto the blue Gyorg's back. Keep the Roc's Cape equipped, so you can jump over the Gyorg's tail. When the Gyorg opens ine of its eyes, quickly stab it with your blade. Eventaully, the Gyorg will carry you back to its larger counterpart to begin the process all over again till he falls.

Heart Continer #6
Your get this Container by fusing Kinstone with Minish that is located in the house thats on water. The house is located in the Minish Village. You can fuse Kinstones with him three times. Once you fuse Kinstones with him for a third time will cause a hole to appear next to the wind crest thats in Lake Hylia. Drop into the hole and make your way through the undergroung cavern. You'll emerge next to a mushroom. If you talk to the Minish inside, he'll give you a full Heart Continer.

Heart Pieces
In this game there are a total of 44 Pieces of Heart

Heart Piece #1
Located: Minish Woods
The first Piece of Heart you can obtian is in front of the entrance to the DeepWood Shrine. Pick it up before you rescue Elzo and shrink yourself. Human-sized Hearts are too big to pick up when you are Minish-sized.

Heart Piece #2
Located: Minish Village
Walk to the end of the dock in the northeast corner of the Village.

Heart Piece #3
Located: DeepWood Shrine
Gust Jar Required
In the room where you fought the Madderpillar and acuired the Gust Jar, vacuum the web that blocks the south door. There is a Piece of Heart on the other side.

Heart Piece #4
Located: DeepWood Shrine
Gust Jar Required
Use the Gust Jar to clear away the yellow patches in the northern centeral room of level B-1. A blue potal will appear when you step on one of the hidden floor switches. Return to the entrance and you'll find another blue portal. Use that portal to get the other blue portal and a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #5
Located: Mt. Crenel
Bomb Required
Climb to the southwest corner of Mt. Crenel and use a bomb to blow open the cave between the trees. A Piece of Heart awaits you inside.

Heart Piece #6
Located: Mt. Crenel
Bomb Required
Place a bomb between the jagged rocks to the right of the Crenel Wall to blast a hole in the mountainside. You'll find a Piece of Heart in the Fairy Fountain.

Heart Piece #7
Located: Cave of Flames
Bomb Required
When you reach the room with the overturned mine cart in it, follow the tracks east across the lava. There's a Piece of Heart on the other side of the south wall, so set a bomb next to the cracks.

Heart Piece #8
Located: Veil Falls
Cane of Pacci Required
Use the Cane of Pacci on the hole in the northwest corner of Lon LOn Ranch. Leap into the adjacent using the energized hole, then head up to Veil Falls. Descend the ladder to your right and walk down the eastern part of the shore to find a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #9
Located: North Hyrule Field
Bomb Required
Bomb to rock next to the Royal Valley sign on the west side of North Hyrule Field, then climb down the ladder nearby. You'll discover a Piece of Heart at the bottom of the stairs in the cavern.

Heart Piece #10
Located: Hyrule Town
Cane of Pacci Required
There's a Piece of Heart hidden in a secret room at the back of the inn, but you must me tiny to enter. Use the Cane of Pacci to flip over the large vase in the house directly east of the item shop. Stand on the vase to get small, then leave through the teensy exit and climb the mini vine in front of the inn.

Located: Minish Woods
Cane of Pacci Required
Ride the whirlwinds in Lon Lon Ranch to it's sotheast corner. From there, head east to Lake Hylia, then south to the Minish Woods. Proceed southwest to pick up a Piece of Heart>

Heart Piece #12
Located: Mt Crenel
White Sword Required
Once you've infused the White Sword with the powers of the Earth and Fire Elements, you can open Greyblade's dojo, where you'll find a Piece of Heart. To reach the dojo go Mt Crenel's Base and climb the dark brown walls till you reach the dojo.

Heart Piece #13
Located: Hyrule Castle Garden
When the guards stop pattrolling the east side of the garden, you can cut down the grass in the southeast corner to uncover a ladder. The room below is pitch dark, but there's a Piece of Heart on the left side.

Heart Piece #14
Located: Lon Lon Ranch
Pegasus Boots & Dash Attack Required
After you acquire the Pegasus Boots, stop by Swiftblade's dojo to learn the dash attack. Use that techinque on the tree north of Talon's house to reval a Minish Portal. A Piece of Heart lies at the end of a miniature path to the east. Shrink yourself to reach it.

Located: Castor Winds
Pegasus Boots Required
Push the large shrine in the southwest corner of Castor Winds. The stairs underneath lead to a swordmaster and a Piece of Heart>

Heart Piece #16
Located: Wind Ruins
Pegasus Boots Required
Shrink yourself in the area with the third Armos the head west and climb down the Minish sized vines. When you come to a set of three vines, take the one in the middle and enter the small tunnel next to it. Navigate the winding cavern to nab a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #17
Located: Fortress of Winds
Pegasus Boots Required
There's a Piece of Heart in the far-east room on the first floor. To reach it, you have to enter the room through the small opening in the adjacent chamber. YOu can shrink yourself on the second floor and drop into the chamber through the hole in the ground.

Heart Piece #18
Located: Mt Crenel
Mole Mitts Required
Climb the Crenel Wall and burrow through the cavern thats to the left of the hermit's cave. A Moldorm guards the Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #19
Located: Hyrule Town
Simon's Simulations will open for business after you defeat Mazaal and obtain the Ocarina of Winds. Play through the first round (it cost 10 Rupees) and vanquish all the monsters to win a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #20
Located: Hyrule Town
Flippers Required
Swim across the stream in the minidungeon (behind the fountain) where you found the Power Bracelets. There's a Piece of Heart and some vases on the other side.

Heart Piece #21
Located: Veil Falls
Flippers Required
If you arrive at the falls from North HYrule Field, you can practice your dogie paddle to reach a PIece of Heart est of the gray bridge.

Heart Piece #22
Located: Lake Hylia
Flippers Required
Stand in the pool of water next to the house at the north end of Lake Hylia and press the B Button to dive for a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #23
Located: Lake Hylia
Flippers Required
Use your flippers to get to the Piece of Heart on the small patch of land near Mayor Hagen's cabin.

Heart Piece #24
Located: Lake Hyila
Flippers Required
The tree with the hole in it houses Waveblade's dojo, where you'll find a Piece of Heart. Swim there from Mayor Hagen's cabin.

Heart Piece #25
Located: Minish Woods
Flippers Required
Shrink yourself on the tree stump in the western part of Minish Woods, then head northwest (across the bridge) and deleve into the far-left cave. The icy paths withtin lead to a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #26
Located: Castor Winds
Flippers Required
Swim to the cave in the northeast corner of Castor Winds, then solve the block puzzle.

Heart Piece #27
Located: Castor Winds
Flippers Required
A lily pad will appear south of the Minish portal in the northwest corner of the swamp as the result of a random Kinstone Fusion. Use the pad to ride across the muck while your small, then trek to the southeast corner and enter the tiny opening above the water. Inside is a Piece of Heart.

Located: South Hyrule Field
Flippers Required
Dash into the lone tree in the southwest corner of South Hyrule Field to knock off the leaves and reval a Minish portal. Make yourself itty-bitty, then jump in the water and swim upstream. The tiny cave at the end holds a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #29
Located: Hyrule Town
If you keep wrangling Cuccos for the girl in the southeast corner of town, she'll eventaully give you a Piece of Heart. The girl's requests become increasingly diffucult to fulfill, so you'll likely need the Flippers and Pegasus Boots to suceed>

Heart PIece #30
Located: Royal Valley
Flame Lanturn Required
Push the tombstone in the top-left corner to uncover a set of stairs. To get your hands on the Piece of Heart at the bottom, conjure your doppelgangers and move the large block.

Heart Piece #31
Located: Palace of Winds
Roc's Cape Required
In the large U-shaped room on the fourth floor, push the blocks on the left over the edge so you can jump across the gap. If you then head north, you come to a Piece of Heart at the end of the catwalk.

Heart Piece #32
Located: Hyrule Town
Roc's Cape Required
A Piece of Heart will fall to the ground if you jump into the big bell at the north end of town square.

Heart Piece #33
Located: Lake Hylia
Roc's Cape Required
Climb down to the shore in front of the north cabin and hop across the islands to a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #34
Located: Lon LOn Ranch
Roc's Cape Required
Hop arvoss the islands in Lake Hyila and dig into the north cave. If you exit through the other side (rather than via one of the ladders), you'll emerge next to a Piece of Heart at Lon LOn Ranch

Heart Piece #35
Location: Hyrule Town
Talk to the man outside the cafe once you've collected 130 figurings. If you beat the game you'll have to collect 136 figurings. He'll let you into the music house, where you'll find a Piece of Heart as well as a phonograph that you can use to listen to the game's tunes.

Heart Piece #36
Located: Hyrule Town
Four Sword Required
Flip over the large vase in the schoolhouse, then get small and head out through the minuture opening on the right. Enter the Minish path on the playground and push the large block out of the way to acquire a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #37
Located: South Hyrule Field
When you fuse Kinstones for the first time with the Hurdy-Gurdy Man in Hyrule Town, the bramble on the tree near Link's house will disappear. A Piece of Heart lies inside the tree.

Heart Piece #38
Located: Eastern Hills
Fuse Kinstones with the Minish occupant of the mushroom in the southwest corner. The beanstalk that sprouts to the north leads to a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #39
Located: Western Woods
Warp to the Wind Crest in Lake Hyila and fuse Kinstones with the Minish in side the mushroom. Doing so will clear away the bramble on a tree in the Western Woods that contains a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #40
Located: Mt. Crenel
If you fuse Kinstones with Melari sfter you complete the Fortress of Winds, a beanstalk will grow atop the western peak of Mt. Crenel. Climb it ti retrieve a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #41
Located: Lake Hyila
Shrink yourself on the tree behind Mayor Hagen's cabin, then paddle north and climb the miniature vine to your right. Drop through the hole and fuse Kinstones with the Minish at the bottom. To reach to beanstalk that sprouts up, burrow into the cave at the end of the lake and follow the ladders.

Heart Piece #42
Located: Veil Falls
Fuse Kinstone with the woman named Gale when she'd stranded on the Cloud Tops or upon her return to the Tower of Winds. The cave thats revealed behind Veil Falls holds a Piece of Heart>

Heart Piece #43
Located: Veil Falls
Once you've infused you blade with all four elements, swim ti the house on the water in the Minish Village. You can fuse Kinstone with the Minish multiple times, but you must leave and come back after each fusion. The second one will create a patch of land at the mouth of a cave in Veil Falls. Use the Mole Mitts to dig inside the cave and produce a Piece of Heart.

Heart Piece #44
Located: Hyrule Castle Garden
The east fountain in the Hyrule Castle Garden will drain as a result of a random Kinstone Fusion. A Piece of Heart rests beneath it.
